Writer, artist and social thinker John Ruskin was distressed by how seldom people noticed details. ‘No changing of place at a hundred miles an hour will make us one whit stronger, happier or wiser. There was always more in the world than men could see, walked they ever so slowly; they will see it no better for going fast. The really precious things are thought and sight, not pace. It does a bullet no good to go fast; and a man, if he be truly a man, no harm to go slow; for his glory is not at all in going, but in being.’

Mission
We are dedicated to finding experiences that are good for the soul. There is no magic formula for travelling well. Creating unique experiences is all about subtle connections: connections with knowledgeable people, and connections between experiences and special places.

People
‘Meet the makers’, ‘the human in the loop’ call it what you will, this is our mantra. It’s hard to think of any great travel experience that hasn’t been carefully crafted by a person with a passion and we want to know who that is and what motivates them. Connecting with new people in new places is what its all about.

Value
We aren’t price driven but we are value conscious. Some of the experiences we recommend are more expensive than others because they are difficult to arrange, unique and involve a degree of complexity, others are more straightforward but equally excellent (we tend to find that true passions and keen commercialism aren’t natural bedfellows). We want to share wonderful experiences and places with you at a fair price. Then we can all feel good and have fun.
